किताबें झांकती है बंद अलमारी के शीशों से बड़ी हसरत से तकती हैं महीनें अब मुलाकात नहीं होती जो शाम उनकी सोहबत में कटा करती थीँ अब अक्सर गुजर जाती है कंप्यूटर के पर्दो पर बड़ी बेचैन रहती है किताबें ...       उपरोक्त पंक्तियाँ गुलज़ार साहब ने लिखी है। और सच ही लिखा है। कितने लम्बे आरसे से किताबें हमारी मित्र रही है। समय के साथ साथ उनका रंग - रूप बदला। प्रारंभिक समय में हाथ से लिखी जाने वाली किताबें की जगह धीरे - धीरे छापे खाने से निकली किताबों ने ले ली। हमने किताबें खरीद के पढ़ी , मांग के पढ़ी। अपने घर में उन्हें संजोया।   हम खुद भी नहीं बता सकते की किताबें कबसे हमारी ज़िन्दगी का एक अहम् हिस्सा बन गयी या हमारी अंतरंग मित्र बन गयी ... किताबें हमें समाज के परिस्थितियों , परिवेश एवं कई नए तथ्यों की सूचनाएं प्रदान कर हमारे ज्ञान का वर्धन करती है। साथ ही हमारा मनोरंजन भी करती है । हमें वैचारिक रूप से समृद्ध करती है।  हमें हमारे अतीत , वर्तम...
